August is the most dangerous month to drive

By Tyler K. Firkins, Partner at VSSF

August is always a super busy travel month, but this year, it is going to be even more busy (and dangerous) because people have been deferring their plans and the country is re-opening.  There will be mad dashes to get a good spot at the camping or RV parks, people have saved up money to pay a premium to get out of the house and into the best hammock.  Here are a few tips:  (a) stay home and go later, (b) drive safely and watch out for others, (c) service and check your vehicle, especially since some vehicles have been sitting around, (d) wear seat restraints and make sure kids are buckled in, and (e) make sure your insurance is in effect.
